Roots...

This is the perfect quote for this subject. "When the roots are deep there is no reason to fear the wind." In other words, when your faith is strong and the trials come there is no need to fear because He is with you and never will forsake you. This is one of the most important things in survival. If you don't have a strong enough faith or any faith at all you will feel like you're drowning in the sorrow and pain, like you're stuck in a black hole and you can't see the light. The thing is, you can escape this hopelessness if you just put your faith in the Lord. You see He died on a cross to take away ALL of our sins so that WE could be forgiven and spend eternity with Him in heaven. He didn't have to do that. He chose to do that because His love for us was so great that He would pay the ultimate price for EVERYONE! Once we put our faith and trust in Him, these trials in life we go through become bearable; we can have hope again, and a light appears at the end of the tunnel. Now He's not going to be our fairy godmother and "poof" all your problems are solved and life is perfect again. But all of these things happen for a reason. During these times, your faith and trust in Him is growing and He is molding you into an even more beautiful creation. So as the wind is blowing, do not fear for your roots of faith will hold you steady.

Until next time,

She Who Dares

They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.-Jeremiah 17:8

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”-Jeremiah 29:11-14
