Stand tall... (and smile: )
So I know a lot of people out there struggle with finding confidence. It's something I have a daily struggle with. But the thing is I'm sure if you talked to any of my friends they would say that I am pretty confident. But there is a reason for that. I'm not confident because I'm just me. The truth is I am confident because I am a daughter of the king, and He died to save little, itty-bitty ME. He died to save us ALL. He died so WE could spend eternity with Him.
“All the king’s officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned the king has but one law: that they be put to death unless the king extends the gold scepter to them and spares their lives. Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this? I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.” -Esther 4:11, 14, 16b
In this story Esther has to go against the law to save her people. Do you think she had this confidence on her own? The confidence to go up to the king knowing she could die? Um, I don't think so! I mean I would have been terrified! But, you see she didn't get her confidence on her own she got her confidence from the Lord. And smiling always helps! : ) So remember to find your confidence in the Lord and not in yourself.
Until next time,
She Who Dares
